Two more used Woodland Scenics “built ups”, the Departmemt Store and the Ice Cream Parlor/Billiards Parlor, have found a home in my urban area.
However, the big news is that the basement/garage reno continues to move along. The new garage cabinets……
Two huge pegboards are to go up on the wall.
Have a great and safe week, folks!
Peter
Peter, all your buildings are shaping up to be a really nice town. Great work!
Thanks for sharing guys- Peter, I’m jealous of the new garage work space! It looks terrific.
This week’s progress is on an industrial area of my layout that will feature some industries including a petroleum terminal. I’ve been working on the containment dike walls. Also I want to have many of the tracks recessed into the surrounding truck lots or factory yards as you might see in the prototype. I’m using layers of homasote and cork to accomplish this. Here’s some progress:
I’ll place the tanks in the foreground later so I don’t have to work around them for the surrounding scenery.
Nice work fellas. I'm on the home stretch with the "hole in the wall" building. I have finished all painting and weathering. Now I just need to add the roof, window details, a dock roof, and lighting. All other details will be added when the building is "planted". Photos show the building after initial painting and then weathered. The last photo shows the test fitting for the foundation I added.
