Continuing on with Dennis Brennan's Richmond Packing Company......preliminary pictures here:

Assembly of the doors and windows.....
Painting the lintels over the windows with burnt unber. The sills remain flat gray.
Next is something that I've never done before. Dennis' great instructions talked me through it. Richmond Packing (per Frank Ellsion) is based on a former grand brick home that was run down and became a packing plant. When a freight door was needed, the window lintel remained but the sill was cut to accomondate the opening in the freight door.
To simulate "newer brick work", I used some spackle and rubbed it off. I am very pleased with the result.....
Raising the walls, assembling the freight dock, and building/placing the awning......
Starting on the roof pieces......
Hopefully, by next weekend, I'll have the roof shingled, the chimneys in place and the stairs built.
Have a great Sunday, folks!
Peter
Great looking projects as usual Alan and Peter!
Not a ton of time this week, but I started working on a Johnstown automobile bridge, Clara Barton Bridge, that will connect two town areas split by a river on the layout addition. I drew the design on some brown paper, I used this to cut the 3D printed beams to size. After some assembly last evening and primer, I am currently printing some concrete curbs. (I guess you would call them) Then, this morning using some pavers tape from woodland scenics my go to for modeling concrete (anchor cement), I poured the roadbed so it can be drying today. This week I will begin rusting and weathering. Hope you all have a good week.

Love the bridge and the walkway!

Jstraw,
Your ballasting looks very nice.
Peter,
Great play by play on the building. Your building assembly talents never fail to impress.
Mike,
The bridge looks great. That 3D printing makes me feel like a cave man when I see it’s abilities.
Another great S.S.S transpiring today. The work showcased so far, is very inspiring from everyone. Alan, the layout photos are great. I'm glad you were able to get them to showcase.

I'm not sure I would have the patience and the eye sight to tackle that one any more, but you are doing a great job. I have always loved Dennis Brennan's work and Frank Ellison's designs, what's not to like?

Thank you, Art.......

Peter, I admire your patience and methodical approach to these builds. I always find myself impatient to finish and have to work hard to not rush...
Great work!
