Good Morning Everyone. I will start with a couple of pictures of my latest project. I am constructing a lighthouse that is located at Sandy Hook, New Jersey. I see it every day and thought it would be great to build a model of it one day. Let’s see what you have been working on.

As mentioned before, I’m more of a plopper than a modeler in doing the scenery work on my layout. LOL.
My latest plop, which is one of my best, is this Department 56 Yankee Stadium facade, which I purchased from Forum friend, Randy Harrison:
Notice the rats carrying slices of pizza down the NYC subway station staircase in the lower left corner of the above photo.
Here’s another photo of the facade:
Thank you, again, Randy, for this fine addition to my layout,
Arnold

This is where I left off last week…..
I finished it off earlier this week……the humidity dropped and I was able to work outside……
First, came window treatments.
Then the walls were attached…..
Painted foam core was used for the roof…..and, it appeared in the distance in a layout update earlier this week.
Have a great and safe week, everyone!
I now have three 4 story Korber buildings……all need fire escapes. That project starts this week.

Happy Sunday all. It’s always a weekend highlight to see what everyone is up to.
Arnold - never thought I’d see the infamous pizza rat on a train layout. Talk about true to the prototype! Clever idea.
Last week I enjoyed catching up on the recent thread about creating building signage. Feeling inspired I took some printed graphics and combined them with leftover styrene and chain. What a quick fun project.
I’ll get this hung once I finish the interior and some other details in the luncheonette.

Nice work gentlemen!!
Impressive work from everyone. I like the idea of calling myself a plopper more than a modeler also.
This week I tackled a train show scrap find and figured out the 30 or so broken pieces were actually pretty complete. Rebuilt everything and added polymer sand as a hard base for the project.

Arnold,
Your Yankee Stadium looks great where you located it.
Peter,
I really liked the window color you used. It makes the building pop.
Alex, Great work. Your sign is awesome.
Jstraw,
look under the base of those models. You will see a date when I made those tanks. You did a great job putting them together.

That facade was made for your layout Arnold. You have to be especially pleased with that purchase.

Great work everyone. I love the Lighthouse build Alan and cant wait to see the finished product. Peter, the buildings are amazing and such a contrast!. Arnold the Yankee Stadium is perfect for your layout and looks wonderful. I love it. Summer is almost over, and I cannot wait to get back into modeling and landscaping the layout!
