I made a lot of progress on my two jet fuel tanks. Here are some pictures. Let's see what you have been working on.

Hey guys. The last few weeks I highlighted the AMW 2 Bay Engine House and their Boiler House. There are so many pictures that did not make the cut for my feature article this month so I thought I would take you on a tour around the layout, starting with the rest of the engine facilities.
Today I will highlight the 2 bay Engine house by Bridgeboss. Jim made this building as a prototype for me 10 years ago and I featured it on my old layout (Run 255). I was going to retire the building when I built my new layout and use a long out of production limited edition Engine Shop kit I have from Berkshire Valley. Long story short, the BV kit was too long for my space and Jim’s building fits great. So it sees renewed life on the new layout.
BTW, Jim has not offered the kit for quite some time. However, I have noticed in the past few months some ads from Bridgeboss that once again feature the Engine House but in a modular package. So that is good news. I suggest you contact Jim and see what he can do for you if you want one yourself.

3rail. Nice layout! May I ask where did you get that crane on the back of that red 1:43 mow truck?
I built this trackside building from a kit more than fifteen years ago. Both my layouts are complete so I haven’t been building anything lately because there is no free space on either layout.

The red truck is a die cast 1:50 scale Peterbilt Mechanics Truck built by Sword. It comes as shown in the picture including the crane. Unfortunately, these trucks are long sold out. I bought mine 10 years ago. You may be able to find one on the auction sites but this model does not appear too often. I have been looking for another ( in orange) for quite some time.

Thank you..that is very kind. Now that my article was released, I can freely share my railroad with all you guys. I am proud of my accomplishments and there is so much that did not make print, even with two articles in the magazine.
Mel, I am also a fan of your work. Everybody has a different style when they build a simple structure or a layout. That is what makes this hobby great.

I've been experimenting with battered Plasticville. I learned some good lessons from this one. Next time, I'm going to try lighter colors and less heavy weathering. Growing up in the Bronx "heavily weathered" seems natural to me.......I have got to try a different approach.
Most of the Plasticville I play with was passed to me from my Modular Group colleague, Bob Buehler, who is also the VP of the Eastern Division. He acquires it in collections he buys for his eBay store......Bobs Trains 4u. It's fun making up for missing parts from my junk/parts box.
The stairway railing is from junk plastic.
The brick stack is from a house building construction kit. The black stack was a ball point pen in a prior life. The large back door is corrugated sheet styrene sprayed silver.

Tom. Thank you. 🤝 That scratch built steam boiler load is just a pile of extra plastic and metal parts. It is convenient to build a variety of truck blanks, especially those that are not manufactured commercially. It took at least 20 hours to make the load.
