Thought I'd get an early jump and post a few pictures of a steel mill I just completed and placed on the TMB club layout. Also want to free up my time tomorrow in hope Santa brings me a new train.

There was a spot where two yards, one hidden are separated by a wall. A portal just would not fit the scene so I made Excelsior Steel where by trains now look like they are coming and going from the mill. There is also an overhang with a machine room and employee break room. The building front is 21" high by 48" wide. The corrugated steel is made from Manila folders cut into 1" x2" sheets and run through a paper crimper. And in keeping a humorous side its the middle rail division, which is the result of a merger with the middle rail company in Bill Bramlages TOWER CITY.

MERRY Christmas

Steve

The assembly is almost done for this three stall locomotive shed. I need to add lights then the structure is ready for paint. The superstructure was made with Plastruct structural parts (H-12 columns, B-10 I-beams, PCF-12 footers, OWTA-16 trusses for the front and back plus PCC-12 joiners to connect B-10 to H-12).

Nice, Joe.

What are the tools with the red and black handles back in the corner?

Max:

I think you are asking about my woodworking clamps. Those are bar clamps of different lengths. The red parts are the handles. I used to build cabinets as a hobby. My garage is more woodshop than Model Structures 'shop'. I am slowly getting back into woodworking as time permits. Right now I am concentrating on shop cabinets in my spare time (i.e. Sunday afternoons). The rolling cabinet in the background of the third and fifth photos with the handles on the side is the latest. Once I get the drawer inserts done I will be storing all my smaller Plastruct piece parts which now reside in cardboard boxes. I am planning to post pictures once I am done. The first cabinet I built for Plastruct parts and posted on this forum was well received.
