Started working on the MTH Passenger Station to convert it to an REA Freight House. I cut off the side platforms and roofs. Cut a large opening to add a freight door. Covered the plastic deck with wood planks and added a stone foundation. Hopefully will add mortar to the bricks this week and complete the windows.

Dave, the layout looks great !   I like the new Woodland Scenics lights. I bought a couple to try out.I noticed you have some as well. Great product.

I have an I Pad holder. Works. Yours looks a little more heavy duty. Can it be found on line ?

You don't waste much time. The NW2 is already weathered and Kadee's added. If I remember right. The offered a B&M. Which would sort of fit what I'm doing.  I'm really not a diesel guy. Still was intrigued with seeing how the pilots looked already fixed on these as to how easily they adapted to Kadee's. Hopefully you will do a quick how to on the 3RS Forum.  As always. Fantastic work.

Dave,

I could not find mounts that I liked so I welded these up the other night.  They are heavy gauge steel that bolt right to the structural supports of the layout.  They are solid!  The pads lock in with masonite wedges.  I don't have a good photo of them.  I will try to snap one for you!

I love the new WS lighting system.  Expensive but VERY easy to use.

Dave

I've been making slow progress on this area of my layout and now that the holidays are coming to a close I should be able to get some things done. I'm still not sure what it represents. If I could eliminate my own hobby related distractions and new projects I might have had this layout done a couple of years ago!
