Laying out the harbor bulkheading and cribbing.  Test fitting the balsa backing for the bulkheading:

Alan those ramps will make unloading at the team track  a breeze.  The boys can finally get a forklift into the rail cars.

Pete you harbor is going to look great.  Is that commercially available steel sheeting in your first picture or did you build "z" out of commercially available shapes?

This scene is at the southwest corner of my 12'-by-8' layout in a small downtown area.

The kit is based on this building

My stuff is below - footprint is 5 x 12

I will be adding rain gutters, water spigot, air conditioner and electrical panels

I'm running out of model subject photographs to post and completely in agreement as far as your work and the amazing work of WBG_PETE and Joe Fauty. For me, there is no recourse other than to wait for the snowplow guy...

Pete! I can hear those seagulls now! Nice harbor scene. If I go through with my harbor layout the structures would fit quite well.thanks for your photos.

The town officials that preside over your layout have been negotiating for some new modern structures. I think the need your help in a town infrastructure revitalization.

Spoken as a true construction manager! Nothing on either of my layouts is supposed to look more recent than 1955. But some replacement models are a good idea.

I haven't decided yet.  I'd like to have small disturbances on the surface so I'm open to suggestions...

Pete, I used the aquatex glass like you would use on a shower door.  Paint the backside with a dark green spray paint. This method was In The Dennis bresnnan book.
