Alan and all, amazing projects. Alan that steel mill looks great. Steve, how do you do it?  Your weathering looks so real and so subtle. Just the right amount in the right places.  I took pictures of hopper cars on a siding near me and looking at the weathered cars I figured Steve must have done these too Bob caboose yard office looking excellent. Really like the night shots. Pete great late afternoon pictures on your fantastic layout.

Joe,  managed to get this done with 3 bank buildings.   I was short about 14 inches of wall for the center of the back section facing the track and the wall.  Ended up making a filler out of 1/4 inch luan, cutting a large arch to match the front, installing a similar glass window/door frame in the arch and painting it to match the rest of the exterior.  Wasn't worth it to me to buy another bank building for a 14 inch back wall.

Chris, Great Union Station build. I second Coach Joe's question, how many banks did you need? Any chance we can see more pictures?  Thanks

Tom

Tom here's some more photos from earlier in the build.   I had said 3 banks buildings in a prior post, replying to Coach Joe.  I probably had more like 3 1/2 kits... I know odd answer,  I purchased another OGR forum member's "parts" after he had bought (2) kits and started cutting them up to do a "kit bash", but then his plans changed.   I never received all the wall sections for 2 complete banks, but there was probably more than 1 bank building of parts in the box.  I think I bought 2 more off another forum member before I started, hence the 3 ++.

Chris, thanks for the extra pictures it shows how much work really went into the bash.  Where did you get the big columns?  Are they cake decorating columns?  My bash of a bank into a station pales in comparison.  I turned it sideways, put doors in the sidewall and detailed the interior and voila "Station".
