Good Morning Everyone,
I will start off with something I created in the past. It is a scratch built liquid oxygen tank car. It is constructed from Plastruct materials and has Weaver trucks. Lets see what you have been working on.

This is where I left off……
Window treatments…….
Roof trim…
Window inserts….
Have a great and safe Sunday and week ahead, folks!

Back to the hotel…….
Fire escapes…..the pieces are tiny!
Lots of little blocks of wood and small squares are needed. I even made a jig to help with the stair railings….
Moral of story……all future tall building construction will have internal fire protection and sprinkler systems!

Wow Alan, I didn't know you were a master car builder too. Nice and unique car someone has on their layout.
Coming along nicely Peter. You've got aging brick and mortar high lighting down. Peter I just saw the fire escape pictures as I was editing my misspellings. Seeing the construction I think you're right about the interior fire protection. LOL
No improvements to the intermodal yard for a second week. Projects for additions are going slowly and not turning out the way I intended.
Here's a scene I've been having a lot of fun developing with a bit of joviality with the Lionel Ale tank (is it an anachronistic element - I could replace with a gray tank and use the Ale tank somewhere else?). There are 8 manufacturers in this photo (2 are figure companies), with one unknown - the best find ever for me - the black Milw. Rd. storage tank. The tank is heavy cast metal and brass and had to have been made by a very talented individual many years ago. The previous owner didn't know it's history. It is an honor to have it on my layout. Someday, should I be lucky enough to reach retirement, I'd like to go train shows on a regular basis and search for neat items like this. BTW: this scene is right next to a lift out section (you can see the cut out in the plywood in the first photo) that I am in the process of finishing. I'll post that when I am done.
I don’t believe I have seen this tank car. Nice!
While staying inside I have decorated layout buildings and added lighting this week.
The business names are from my hometown 70 years ago
