Good Morning Everyone,
I will start out with a model I constructed in the Past. Lets see what you have been working on,

Buster’s Barber Shop and Bridgeport News are located on “Back Street,” at the rear of my 10’-by-5’ model railroad. I built them from a kit by Bar Mills Models. The barber shop also faces the rear of the layout and is difficult to see among some larger structures, so I didn’t include an interior.

I recently purchased this off of Ebay, and started to put it together. I still have a lot of cosmetic work to do, but here is what I have done so far.

Very nice Alan. How long is that module?
Mel thanks for the trip to the other side of town. Is the news stand attached or stand alone?
Greg, a very unique business you've got there. The conveyor system is great.

Good question... I think it's attached. That would be the way I usually do things. I'd have to check my construction photos - which are on a back-up computer/disk drive.

Coach,
I think it is about 36 inches long and 24 inches wide at the top and maybe 12 inches at the bottom. It resides up in Cape Cod.
Mel,
I like seeing the Old Bridgeport areas modeled on your layout. Bridgeport was one of the first areas out of state I went to when I started my career in tank construction. We built a tank for the old BuckleyBrothers facility. They were a Shell distributor. She’ll later bought the facility andaddedsome large storage tanks.
Greg,
Looks like you got yourself a pretty nice building on E Bay. You did a nice job putting it together.

Thank you!
This is my favorite thread. Thanks for all the great work everyone has posted this week. This is my newest industry which will be a tire distributor. I just planted it but I still have to add the interior and scenery. It is Clever Models printed on card stock with strip wood added. The interior floor and loading dock are coffee stirring sticks. The building will be weathered too.
Beautiful job Mr. Love
Greg, that is a really cool building especially with the conveyor details. Was that a kit originally or did someone scratch build the conveyors?

Hey Dave,
Ya know, I am not entirely sure. I know that some years ago, Harry Hieke made a building very similar to this one with the same conveyor details. However, the person who I bought it from believes everything was scratch built.
Regards.

Amazing, Greg!

Interesting story of the Old Bridgeport Shell Alam. I’ll look up the town local now☺️
And Mel my wife’s grandfather had a Fordson tractor which wasn’t running but always showed up for work. The 55’ two tone Chevy looks great at Busters too!

Thank you sir!
Brother Love, of course you can make a Clever cardstock model look like something Woodland Scenics puts out.
