Good Morning Everyone,

WOW!
I have always hated the town on my layout. Last week I snow shoveled the whole area and came up with a new design that had 4" of elevation which would help to tie the two levels of my layout together. The new town is much busier and I needed many more buildings so I have been busy painting some unpopular MTH buildings to look a little more realistic.
Out with the old!
New Design
The signs will have to go.
Most of MTH buildings have 'good bones' and come apart very easily.
Stay tuned for Hotel Royal updates
Great work! (As usual )
Gee, Dave. With your own business of a model train store with a large model railroad (Mercer Junction), being in a Rock band (The Clarks) , and with your own model railroad at home (with OP sessions), what DO you do to relax?!

Dave,
i can't believe that is an MTH building. You do some wonderful work.

Guy nice work. Dave outstanding job on the MTH buildings!
Here is an icing platform I have been working on, ready to place on the layout. It will tie into a large ice house.
Almost done weathering my MTH passenger station, was the Orange brick with the ugly green window trim.... Still need to groove and weather the concrete platform under the station, but at least all the LED lights are installed inside and out, and the block retaining walls I carved out of pink foam finally got glued and mounted to curved forms so they could be mounted in place. Also in the background is my latest scratchbuild of "Atlantic Ice & Cold Storage Co."... Its about 32 inches wide 15 inches tall and 8 inches deep.
WOw David M. I see that you have the Same Chooch Enterprises Freight house: [Lower right]
Did you do anything special to your version?
Here is mine:
Excellent work all!

Alan,
Thanks! Your stuff is killin'!
Dave
I agree, and excellent showcase. Alan, you do get to build some very interesting stuff!
Dave, I appreciate the courage to rip stuff up and make changes. I'm not at that point yet still trying to get the first iteration. Once that's done, I'll be ready to start renovations. It's true, model railroads are never really done, are they.
