Good Morning Everyone,
I will start off with something I constructed in the past. Lets see what you have been working on.

Last time I posted, we toured the front and side areas around Union Station. Today I would like to focus on the business side. I have 4 storage tracks behind the Station. 3 of the tracks are Arrival / Departure tracks for the station and the 4th track services the Freight House.
The passenger sheds are provided by T W TrainWorx and were designed and built by Mike Reagan. The Freight House is a Todd Architectural Models lighted building flat. An older Walthers freight house, a shanty, tool house and a painted brass water tower complete the scene. Over on the side is a MTH Mill building and an “Iron City” water tower.
The signals are by Custom Signals (now out of business) and the semaphore is a MTH model.
The long retaining wall is made from numerous thicknesses of MDF. The arches were laser cut for me by Roger at TrainWorx.
Finally, the wall of lighted downtown building flats was built by East Coast Customs. These scenes gobble up dozens of little folks along with diecast cars and trucks.
Enjoy the pics and have a great Sunday!
Donald
I put a building back on the layout last week after having to remove it to repair a broken light. In the course of fixing the light, I broke other parts that needed to be repaired .
I added a pole and light at the end of the siding and put in a fence to separate the backdrop from the building. The backdrop building and fence are images printed on card stock.
Alan when can I move in?
All, another fantastic Sunday Showcase. Alan that is the exact house I have been looking for. Can you make a full size one? Donald and Pete just amazing layouts. Pete any chance we could see any additional pictures of the crane and service area? RSJB18 Nice buildings. David really nice details on engine shell.

This structure was one of the first kits that I built for my 12’-by-8’ layout more than twenty years ago.

Here you go, pictures of the Port Anne Western RR's interchange with the C&O. Crane is made up of Plasticville signal bridge parts, wood, and a detailed hoist kit.
Beautifully done Pete - and in a great setting!
Is that a Flyer Alco I see lurking in the background?
WBG Pete,
That model of a sailing ship deserves to have its photo posted.

Don W,
Yes it is an early '50s flyer set given to me by an 95 year old friend last year.
Mel,
Temporarily in the basement sitting room:
Coach Joe,
You can move in by Thursday. Just make sure you put the recycling out for pickup.
Tom,
My father-in-law constructed that house back in 1967 for him and his family. I made the model for him as a Christmas present some years ago. He has passed on so I now keep it in the model room.
Fantastic work Pete.
Donald your layout looks OUTSTANDING !!!
Wonderful pics and work by everyone this week........the craftsmanship is outstanding! Kudos to all!
Peter
Pete, Thanks for the extra pictures. You really have a lot in that area, amazing track work and scenery. I will use these pictures to help me on my layout.
Tom
Not only is that train station awesome, but having a basement big enough to hold it is awesome as well. Great showcase all!
Outstanding work again guys!
Here is something I completed a few years ago - the coal mine. The structure is based on a method I learned form Bob Bartizik, black foamcore shell covered with corrugated material.
