Sunday Scenic Showcase October 4,2020

Hey guys. Today I want to highlight my Denver Union Station. This station is a custom model designed and built by T W TrainWorx. I have been to Denver Station a few times myself and the model brings back a lot of memories. I placed my order a few years ago when this Station was announced. I knew it would be a focal point on my layout. 

The interior is completely finished and detailed including (3) lighted chandeliers suspended from the ceiling. I added concrete platforms and a lot of little folks to populate the platforms and inside the building. Artista and Woodland Scenics makes a lot of cool detail parts along with their figures. Union Pacific provides bus service to the smaller towns not serviced by the passenger trains. An ice cream store and the UP office occupy any unused real estate. 

With my limited space, I tried my best to include parking lots on both sides of the building.

 Next time we will explore the passenger loading sheds and buildings behind the station.

Alan coal chutes on 2 sides, at 90 degrees to each other.  I'd love to see that on the layout.

Slow progress on downtown Port Anne:

I finished this little office for a small yard I haven’t built yet. I don’t usually build wood kits, so I thought this came out pretty decent.

I like small buildings scattered around my layouts. I built all four of these from the Banta Modelworks “Building-in-a-Bag" kit.

Great displays as usual. Sorry I haven't had  much input here this year but due to COVID restrictions and remaining compliant with NYS guidelines, Sunday's are my run time at the TMB Club.

  I have done a little more detailing on my MTH Station with regards to painting all the window and doors.

   I am thinking of cutting 1/2” off around the bottom perimeter to have the doors flush with  the wood platform, thus eliminating the steps
