I built this model of a Bridgeport Tower House from a kit by Branchline Trains Laser Art Structures before starting on my 10’-by-5’ layout in 2014. I did not use it on the layout because I thought it didn’t look right in the “commercial” downtown area that I built. The design appeared in a catalog of house plans by an architect in Bridgeport, Connecticut in 1878. Driving around Bridgeport today, one sees many houses with towers but I have never found one that is exactly like the model.
