Good Morning Everyone,
I will start out with something I constructed in the past. Let's see what you have been working on. The beagle car was in the mix. I hope you don't mind. Lol

Hey guys. The last few weeks I have been highlighting my engine service facilities with pics that did not make the cut for my feature article last month. Today are some shots of the “Rock Island” Freight House. Technically, this is not for servicing an engine but certainly deserves to be highlighted.
This is a kit built by Mike Reagan (twtrainworx). He designed the structure and I asked him to build it for me since I had so many other structures to construct. He then boxed it and I picked it up at York when I also retrieved the 3 Bay Engine House some two years ago. I positioned it on a MDF base and added additional details to the roof and some figures inside the open roll up door. The panel trucks are all Athearn 1:50 scale models. These are great trucks. It is a shame they are no longer made and now command a premium price.
That is it for the Engine Service area. Next I will move on around the layout.
Enjoy the pics and have a great Sunday!

Donald.....your layout is breathtaking!
Peter
Where possible I try to add details to the rooftops of buildings on my layouts. Here are two examples.

Alan,
I seem to recall seeing something very similar in a TCA magazine. Was it yours?

Ron,
I was not aware of the station being in the Tca magazine. The model was constructed for a fellow in New York State and is a very scaled down version of Grand Central Station.
Alan, I remember your version of GCT, did you post a thread of the build or did it appear in SSS when you completed it?
3Rail and SIRT, those are a couple of excellent freight houses. Seems as if both were built to fit a specific space on the layout.
Johan, your backdrops always look fantastic and blend into your scenery so perfectly. You have a great photographic eye.
Mel it appears the roof details receive as much attention as do the structures underneath them.
Joe,
I did a thread on the GCT build.
Very nice work this week guys!
