As usual the work in the Sunday Showcase is great. I have been working on a Sugar Beet area on my layout for the last year or so and here are some pics of the boiler/lime kiln building...cant wait to finish them all so i can get them planted on the layout.

This is an awesome project!  Are you the one that had these all drawn up and cut out with poster board last year?I reconize the one in the middle. You ve come a long way and much worth it.

Just beautiful.

Graz,

Hello all,

It's been a long time since i posted anything here.  This might have something to do with the fact that i haven't really built anything in over a year.   But the bug is back, and this is the first kit i've built in about 16 months.

It's from Whiteground Models and it's copyrighted 1985.  I have a few Whiteground kits, but they are mostly plaster fronts.  I picked this kit to do first because i thought it was the one i was least likely to enjoy making.  I figured if i could have fun building this one, i would really enjoy the next.  I'm happy to report that this kit was a lot of fun, and it feels great to be modeling again.

The kit itself was kind of dated, so i added a lot of stuff like upgraded doors and windows.  Anyway, I hope you like it.

Nick....This is so cool! I am currently working on a flat with and old steel mill theme to is and the is going to be a great model to add to it. It is the missing piece that will fit right in between the 2 Clever card stock (on foam core bd.) kits. Thanks for the inspiration!

Thanks Patrick, you have a great memory it was indeed the same project.  I am about 2/3rds done with the big refinery.  It took some extra time to mock it all up but it has really helped as i build it especially since all the buildings tie together thru hallways or lifts.  I am trying to get done with the refinery before nice weather sets in cause i usually shift over and my car restorations get most of my time....what a great problem to have!!
