I have four UP diesels; powered E7, non powered E7, Powered Alco and a super base.  Al Legacy engines.

When I program the super base and operate it as a single engine, the sound is great.  If I lash it up with the other diesels, I hear the lash up sounds from the super base as it acknowledges the lash up.  When I start moving the lashed up set, the super base is quiet.    Am I doing some thing wrong?

After the engine lash up is complete and running, stop the train and try to hit the rest button on the cab 2. I had the same issue with two SD 45’s one with sound the other nothing. After the reset both had engine and brake sounds no horn, as it should be.

@Dave in Surprise - Maybe I'm missing something but wouldn't it make sense just to program the Superbass unit with the same ID as the 'lead' engine, rather than operating it "as a single engine"?  (and ensuring that the Superbass 'sound' button is ON of course)

The only catch is if it’s a newer rear A when put into a train it assumes forward position so you must set as a different ID then set the train up that way

In my case the CP FA-2 B unit is the Superbass unit - not an 'A' unit, but I appreciate what you're saying.

Perhaps @DaveinSurprise can clarify the product numbers of his engines and whether his Superbass is an 'A' or 'B' unit?
