any chance you can post some pictures and a wireing diagram of what you've got? Make it easier for someone to figure whats wrong.
Track Brand, switch Brand, TIU or Not, Operating system. This is information that would greatly help.
Clearly there is a short in the switch. Take the switch off your layout. Open the switch and follow the center rail and any connection to it. Use a VOM (volt ohm meter) to probe around. There should be no connection between the center rail and anything else.
no there is no short in switch i removed it and replaced it with anothe that works fine when not connected to layout it works fine when connected to layout it blows breaker
this is MTH switch and track iwould put pictures but im no computer person
Is this what your track switches look like? MTH Realtrax O72?
Do I understand correctly that you are powering the switch motor with auxiliary power rather than track power? If so have you removed the jumper between the track power terminal and the switch motor power terminal? It would have been between the first and second terminals at the left end of the terminal strip on the track switch.

Sounds like you have the hot and ground reversed on part of the layout.
