My dz 1000 remote switch buttons stop working, shortening out, I guess buttons won't work. Can an atlas remote switch be connected to work with the dz1000? I have a few atlas remotes with buttons and others with lever, N-R. My switches are all atlas.

I use momentary contact toggle switches for my DZ-1000s. Is the Atlas switch anything more than a momentary contact switch?
the dz switch has the 3 wires coming from it. The atlas switch has 3 wires as well as two wires for power.
These Atlas buttons leave mush to de desired in my opinion. Momentary toggles are my preferred way to power Atlas 3 rail solenoid switch machines. The fragile Atlas 2 rail switch machines are best replaced, IMO.
The switch machine in this case is a dz 1000 connected to a atlas switch 072 . The actual remote dz 1000 stopped working .I want to replace it with a atlas remote which I have a bunch, can it be done?
A DZ1000 switch motor has a cut-out switch, that cuts power to the switch motor. If the throw is incomplete, did not move the full throw distance, sometime a manual move, to complete the throw is required, or the return movement will not work.
The green switch, picture center below the motor.
Note the difference.
I did move the switch manually a few times thinking the switch motor was stuck, but it moved smoothly and complete, but the remote buttons. still did not work.
