I've always heard there were no T Rail remote track. Hard to tell by the pics, but this has to be someone's home made section, and an expensive one at that.

Someone was quite talented in making that piece. But $250?? I don't think so.

No kidding, lets see, 1 UCS or RCS section $10, 1 T rail straight section..... what another $10.... new coil of solder and maybe some flux... $6... Heck buy a new soldering iron.... $50???? so... $250 for that.... Come on man...

Probably asking the seller for the Lionel part number would solve the mystery.
been seeing several over priced auctions like this. I was trolling looking for a steamer shell for a winter project. Saw lots of them for the $20 range. One seller has one, not damaged, but paint loss for only $75.
What kind of shell Dave? I've got some Marx 666 shells and an 1829 without the pilot.

actually I was looking at Lionel 665/2065 shell....but I wonder if a six drivered motor would fit under a 666 shell 
. always thought the 666 needed another set of drivers.
