My update on my LEGACY layout my friend Jose in the picture is helping making the tunnles he did the art work painting background but when thrain enters the tunnels it stalls the tunnels are made from chicken wire and plaster cloth as you see the top picture

The stalling is probably due to shielding of the TMCC signal from the metal chicken wire.

 

The solution would be to electrically connect the wire to a source of earth ground (NOT the outside rails).

 

The simplest connection would be to pin 5 of the Legacy serial port. If you have devices like TPCs or ASCs connected to the base, the ground wire in that connection is earth ground.

 

Otherwise you could ground your chicken wire to the third prong of a grounded outlet - preferably on the same circuit as the one your Legacy base is plugged in to.

It might work, if the center screw is connected to earth ground.

 

Connecting to pin 5 from the Legacy base serial port is preferable, because then you are sure that you are at the same potential as the Legacy base is seeing.  (Earth ground is one half of the signal; track outside rail is the other.  The problem in the tunnel is that the chicken wire is masking the earth ground signal).

 

But try the center screw if that's the most convenient source of earth ground.
