How hard would it be to take apart a Menards Morton Salt Building? I want to paint the blue part grey to make it a coal flood loader. Are the glued or snapped together?

They are glued together very well. I tried to disassemble another building, but it didn't work to well. Good luck..
Knowing the flue type is key to determine the proper solvent. However the solvent could melt the plastic so be weary.
The one I have is pretty much all wood, and the glue appears to be like CA.
I think it would be a bit hard to disassemble the salt factory for repaint. I love your idea to convert to a coaling factory. You would also have to take off the salt girl ad sign too. I keep holding out hope that Menards will come out with a large, weathered, grey coaling facility similar to the salt factory for all these coal hoppers and trains I have running on my layout.
Maybe someone from menards should read this.

If it's CA type glue nail polish remover softens it.....but I'd just repaint it assembled.....I do it with steam locos!!!
I was thinking about trying to tape and mask everything off and airbrush it Alot of work but it would be woth it. As far as the sign I/m going to cover it with a piece of plastic and make a coal company decal. The other idea I had was keeping it blue but weathing it heavy with coal dust. The ground area would be covered in coal anyway. What do you guys and girls think? I'm still think about building my own from scratch. To many ideas lol.
