We have just completed our first three buildings (Run 5) of the the Paterson Silk Mill (WH-03). A 28" and 12" building was installed last week and included digital control to randomly turn off and on two different areas on each of the four floors. Thank you to all who commented on my post about model train time. The idea of the lighting control is to create a random pattern so that the model does not look the same every time that you look at it. For the record, the timing of lighting action was about once for each two times the container drag passed by.
Run 5 also included two 12" x 12" a 4-story high buildings. One is done with translucent glazing and the other has Rosclolux with translucent behind. There will be an upcharge for the second glazing behind the Roscolux, but if you don't want to see into the window when the space is lit, the translucent layer solves it. These models come lit- each floor is divided evenly in half for a total of eight areas individually lit. Digital control of the lighting may be added for an additional charge. These two models are built-up and ready to ship.
Run 8 is being done in O Scale to reflect semi-custom orders taken at York, orders taken during the last week, and to create a small inventory of elevation-ready pieces. The run will consist of only flats and shadowboxes. Three each of 3-, 4- and 5- story elevations are included in the run. The completion date of Run 8 is November 8, 2019. If you are interested in one of these please reach out to the shop to discuss your semi-custom configurations.
Run 9 is being done in S Sale and includes two speculative builds of a 9" x 9" x 4-story version. They will be finished just like the two O Scale models shown above. The completion date of Run 9 is November 22, 2019. These may be reserved at this point.
I do not foresee any additional Paterson Silk Mill O Scale runs until available inventory is reduced. We have 4- and 5-story versions available in various lengths, glazings and window/door configurations.
The next delivery meet for us will be the Amherst Railway Society Railroad Hobby Show in Springfield, MA in January, 2020. I will always prefer meet pickup over shipping. Local pickup at our shop is also always available.
