Hey all! I ordered and received my 4 pack of HELIUM Transport Tank cars.

My mistake was to open their boxes and unwrap them OUTSIDE the house,on my deck...within seconds UP in the sky they went to parts unknown!

They were last seen by a PanAm pilot at 12,000 feet....headed south...

There should be a warning label on the boxes!

Har. I like.

Once, while working as a computer programmer for the GM&O/ICG RR (really), I asked if we, the ICG, actually paid the shipper for handling helium tank cars, rather than them paying us, as it made the train lighter, so less diesel was burned.

Really, I did. You know you are in trouble when you realize that you are going to have to explain to your boss that this is a joke.

No wonder my promotions were so slow in coming....

(I corrected my oh, so clever joke above as I realized that I had actually stated it backwards yesterday....don't ever get old...)

Now that is fun too!  One of Buck Rogers?  Wonder where it is at?

Get a bunch of those helium cars from Jimmy and maybe we can make it fly again.

By the way, what helium cars are we talking about?  Pictures!

This is the old Silvercup Bread rocket used to promote the old "Rocky Jones, Space Ranger" TV show.  (And of course, Silvercup bread...)  I shot the photo from the tour boat while touring the Soo Locks in back in 1984.

It is currently undergoing a slow restoration at the Air Zoo Aerospace & Science Museum in Portage Michigan.

I actually remember the Silvercup rocket being in my neighborhood back in the 50's.  We go to go inside and see the wondrous stuff.   When we exited, they gave us a mini-loaf of Silvercup bread.  Great Gosh-O-Golly-Gee-Wiz stuff back then.
