I have a K Line boxcar painted over a regular  K Line car #6449 (K Line 20th Anniversary-Atlantic Division TCA-1990). It is  yellow on the sides with red doors/top and ends. To the left of the door is a Union Pacific type shield with "The Collectors Main Line-Atlantic Division" all within the shield and on the right is "1991 Members Meet  Westover C.C." all that lettering appears to be rubber stamped. The box is a correct 6449 box with "1991 Members Meet Westover C.C," stamped over the 6449. Can anyone from that time tell me about the car? Thanks  in advance-turtle7

The newsletter archive only goes back to 1998. They have no contact us on their website.

I have observed that in the late '80's to the early '90's there was a small market for custom painted sets and cars from a manufacturer. Many organizations still have event cars made to commemorate special events.

The "who did the work" and "how many" would have to come from a member. You can truly say it's a rare car because they were never produced in thousands.

Perhaps the TCA Museum in PA could help.
