Awesome Chris, I put my order in.
Darn.... missed out.
Yes, looks like it sold out!
When I put my order in on the 13th, I believe the remaining total was 87 or somewhere around that. I think in the video it is stated that they only did a minimum run.
Strasburg anything seems to sell out quickly these days.
Yes it does!!!! Totally my fault for not joining sooner and getting a unit!
Well, it was sort of a quiet roll out. I say that because if I hadn't looked at the recent topics on the 13th when Chris posted, I probably would have never seen it until I got the TCA email that contained it. There is a possibility that you all may get lucky and find one from a shop in PA that maybe ordered some(as long as they could). The only other thing is to hope for a second run. Maybe message Stu and see if he is going to consider a second run maybe the next time they can do these.

I hope that Stu is...
a) smart enough to pull it off (I'm sure he is!), and
b) dumb enough to run for TCA president again as soon as he can.

Is there an ETA on the snow plows? This is the first car I've ordered from TCA and I haven't seen any info on when these are to arrive. Just want to make sure my order didn't fall through the cracks.

Around Dec, 2022.

Has there been any discussion about having more made? Is it typical for clubs to make the bare minimum to produce an item like this?
@SGP posted:Has there been any discussion about having more made?
Yes. When Atlas does their next run of snowplows (I'm guessing a few years from now), we'll have options.

Yes. When the market demand is uncertain, the conservative approach is typically the one taken. Most clubs, dealers, and businesses would rather have a sell-out then have a project in the red financially becuase there's inventory on the shelf.

Stu or Chris,
Any updates on the TCA Strasburg Snow Plow? I believe several other versions have recently shipped.

Hi Jim,
They were delivered to TCA HQ yesterday, I think. The building is in the midst of being repainted inside, so the staff is busy with other time critical stuff. Might be a couple weeks until they ship.

Sweet, figured they were getting close.

Did you pick yours up, or was it shipped? If shipped, did they provide tracking info?

Chris, the TCA Business office, and I coordinated to have Chris pick his up since he's local. Chris is working on something. Stay tuned and stand by .... and subscribe to Chris's Trains and Things on Youtube! https://www.youtube.com/@ChrissTrainsandThings
Stu
I missed out but that was done quickly. Hope everyone enjoys their purchase.
I can wait for it to ship. Weather isn't pleasant here in NJ the last few days. Lots of rain.
Here is our first review of this model!
Stu, was there going to be a shipping notification when these shipped or no? I don't think that there was on other stuff, but heck, can't remember which is odd for me.

Ditto here. I’ve heard nothing on my order shipping

In Stu's defense, there is a ton to sort through. That I do know. Chris was local and he picked his up.
They haven't shipped yet. When TCA HQ creates the shipping labels, you'll usually get a notification. They're *not* shipping this week. They'll probably go out next week. If you don't receive yours by the end of February, get in touch with TCA HQ.

@NOT LionelLLC Stu is the man! Great video Chris.

Thanks Stu. I still have to watch Chris's video, just been busy as you know what.
Great video Chris, thanks for sharing.

Thanks for posting the video.
Coupler or no coupler - decisions, decisions...
When an item comes with swappable parts, I usually store whatever is left over inside the car, since the box could disappear. Often, I put these parts in a resealable plastic bag, and sometimes I tape it to the floor. It looks like interior access can be achieved by opening the wings - is that correct? Or is it easy to remove the body from the floor?
Just got email notice that mine is in the way.
Any chance more will be produced? Had no idea they were being done.

Chris covers that in the video. While they only produced 100 I believe, that is because they were not sure if they would sell out because they have to pay the entire cost whether they do or don't. There probably will be another run, but that will be down the road at some point in the future maybe at the least, 7 years as they wouldn't want to crowd or flood the market too quickly.

A most interesting point Dave.
We understand it is hard for group or store to commit with no guarantee of success regarding the 100 quantity. Does that therefore imply if the demand is far greater - that rerunning that item in the year or two would be in poor taste to those who would like to order one and missed out on the first run?
I look at this from both sides as I like to purchase custom runs. Either way, a good discussion over your beverage of choice.
Either way, this Snow Plow looks like another hit.

It is also dependent on atlas rerunning this model. Custom runs are only able to be done in line with a cataloged item. So any future run will have to wait until we see the plow back in the catalog.
Thanks Chris for replying, you said it in the video, and that is exactly what I was reiterating. Only time will tell when Atlas do the snowplows again giving Stu another chance at running the Strasburg one. We will just have to wait and see.
