Team tracks and transload facilities are the perfect place to exercise a little creativity on our layouts. The nature of these sidings allow any load from any road to find its way into the story of our model railways. One week the track might receive a load of lumber products the next a boxcar full of widgets. There is no end to the possibilities.

No matter what finds its way to your sidings,
take some pictures and share them here.

Team Track Employee of the Month

tttt-2020-06-08-a2

Although he goes by many aliases, today we congratulate Alistair Barnaby O'Callaghan III on receiving the much coveted Team Track Employee of the Month award.

From Lower Patsburg to the Cuyahoga River Valley, few can deny that Mr. O'Callaghan has impacted Team Tracks operations far and wide.

Mr. Schodowski, Valley Railway's acting CEO, presented O'Callaghan with the award during a special ceremony at the Everett Team Track & Community Park.

In addition to family and friends, special guests from the Brotherhood of Caboose Workers were also on hand to honor O'Callaghan's contribution to Team Track operations.

Abrail, I love the employee of the month award!  Very creative!  Brings a grin to my face this morning!

In recognition of yesterday's  announcement of Mike Wolf's retirement and the possibility that the MTH brand may be no more, I want to celebrate ( with Ice Cream ) the HUGE impact that Mike and MTH have had on our hobby.  Here is a prototype reffer for Ellicott & Sons Ice Cream.  Prototype, in this sense, means that this photo is of the first car of this kind ever produced by MTH.... this was the salesman sample model.  The car is actually identified with indelible hand writing on the underside and on the box.  This car came to me brand new and never run.  Of course I run all things railroad.   I thought it appropriate to feature this car today, one day after we all got the sad news that MTH " may " be no more.... a possible reality which I hope never comes true.  I certainly wish Mike Wolf the very best in his well deserved retirement, for he certainly has given all of us the VERY BEST.

On team track one in Lower Patsburg,  a car full of the finest ice cream ever made is about to be transloaded onto a truck for store  and ice cream parlor delivery.   That's Rick with the pallet admiring the delicious paint job on the side of the car.  IMG_2898IMG_2901

Not the busiest week for our Team Tracks, but fun none the less.

It is always nice to see pics from Bill T's railway. Patrick's post lead to the serving of ice cream in my house last night (the kids thank you, Patrick). The unique vantage point of Bob's picture made for a really great team track image.

I hope to see all of you again next week.
