Several years ago a fellow gave me a box of junk he had used for his model trains.

Included was this item.  I'm courious as to what it is.

It is 1 1/8" deep x 1 1/2" wide x 7/8" high.  On one end where the wires come out

it has imprinted on it "OUTPUT" and on the other side it has "INPUT"

It has no other printing on it.

It probably isn't worth much, but I'd like to know what it is in case I need it.

You know how that goes.  If you throw something out, the next day you find out you now need it.

Thanks for any help,  Corvettte (Paul)

Does it have any company name on it? Like QSI or Life Like, or Lionel or MTH? Also if there was any number with it would help ID it as well.

At worst, you could open it to see what is inside it and post a photo.

Off hand I can take anything but a guess to say it might be a homemade item to cut electronic noise or a voltage suppressor.

You know Rod, this is what makes these OGR forums so great, fun, and valuable.

It's not that this item is so important or valuable; it's that there are so many knowledgeable people here to help out and love to do it.  If I had the level of knowledge of some of you fellows, I would be putting in my two cents too.

As it is for now, I'm on the receiving end.

So - - Thanks to everyone.
