As many of you know I love capturing the rich history of where I live in Schenectady NY and its architecture and history on my Bellevue and Schenectady RR With the help of TW Trainworx we are capturing one Schenectady's old hotels-The Edison Hotel which was located next to the old Schenectady Train Station. For the full history of the building Google Edison Hotel Schenectady.  Stay tuned as the build unfolds! Glamorous rooms available and taking reservations for 2021!!!😁😁😁

That looks fantastic.

I'm planning a similar outcropping on my layout.  Would you please provide a bit more detail about you you constructed the girder supports?  Are those Plastruct materials or something similar?

Anything you can share about the kits and/or raw materials used to make the fence along the deck, the girders just below the fence around the perimeter, and the support stanchions would be most appreciated.

It all looks great.  Thanks for sharing.

STEVE I use Masonite girders and the piers in this application are Lackawanna style cut to.length and height. The railings are again Masonite.from East Coast Enterprises. . The stone trimn is a tile border I found at home depot. The platform is 3/4 inch plywood The road is slate tile from roofing and the sidewalks are tile.  I  still have to weather and age the steel and tile to clean for me.Hope this helps have fun!

Don:

Thanks a million for that info.  I see all that's needed on that website.  Since they go by a different name in their URL, I'll post the link here for others to check out:

By sharing, you've greatly improved what I was going to be able to create.  Thanks again.

Absolutely amazing building. It creates a mood, even over the web. I bet it's rreally something in person.

Would you feel free to share what you used to build it. Do you use a laser engraver and 3-D printer?

Many thanks!!!

It was built by TW Traineorx from photos and drawings I provide using laser machine and printing.
