The Crocodile have arrive to Busch in Germany (at least the 2rails version) and now under final testing...interestingly  the pilot is to be installed by the customer...first pic show as delivered (was also a mistake from Busch, their photograf had no idea that the engine was missing something..!!!).

That gave a few people an heart attack...

at least it prepare people....imagine opening the box and see that the pilot are missing...!!!, could be wrong, but this may be a first to have to install pilot trucks on an engine.

Gruesse,

When I saw the pic of the crocodile w/o idler axles I was a little confused! I'm just wondering why it was required to have then as a add-on part. It was explaned on Busch's Facebook page it's because of packiging, but still..........I haven't seen any other engine shipped like this. I just can asure you, that this will cause confusion from our customers....

Regards,

Interesting that they gave you no infos regarding the pilot as add-on parts (a last minute decision from MTh..??) and funny that the MTH Crocodile manual posted on your website have no mention of it at all on how to install them.

Also noted in the manual that there is a bell sound..!?!?!?....wonder where did they get that idea..??? or did the early one (1919) had a bell ??

anyway will not lose sleep over it, will all see when in my hand...

Gruesse,

I have giving up worrying about what MTH is doing a long time ago. Don't worry I wont loose sleep over that. No, swiss engines never had bell, Mr. MTH told me once that he wouldn't sell a single engine if there wasn't a bell, that's why we all now have a crocodile with a bell sound. Ironically, it is not important enough to MTH to inform ASC's about changes they make. I should my 200+ crocodiles in approx two weeks. Please let me know when you get yours.

Miketg. Please do post pics if you have a chance. I would love to see them. Very cool engine. Thanks.

@ Miketg, ...yes please pictures would be nice..no rush, anytime is welcome..thanks in advance.

@ Stefan 200+ Crocodiles, that's a nice amount....wonder more in brown or green but probably 90%+ 2rails...hope that the PS3 board will not give the same issues as the Traxx one. As for the bell...hummm..but true they did put one in the Traxx as well..LOL..!!!! In true toy trains tradition...

Great week-end ahead with the Marklin days...

Sincerely,

Patrick

@ Stefan...thanks for the pics of your Fulgurex one...if you ever have the time to post once a side by side pic of the MTH and the Fulgurex it would be nice.

@ Dave Allen...that's would be a great idea, at least it would be more accurate than what is probably a North American POS bell sounding recording...

Hi John,

The station is scratchbuilt, built in two sections for easy moving. Also in the background you can see some other buildings, these too are scratchbuilt. The station itself is based on Schwarzburg in Thuringia, Germany. This station is available in HO from Faller, but I built mine from plans about a year before theirs appeared on the market.

All the best,

Miketg
