Our train club just completed a new subway line. Thought I would share some photos of the station. We built it on a plywood platform, doing all the work on Saw Horses so as to make it easier to reach and do the detail work. As well as saving our backs!! Then we placed it in it's location under the town on our layout. Hope you enjoy them

Thanks to everyone for your replies. This was done by 5 members of our club, myself included, each one contributing his insight, thoughts, talents and expertise to complete this station. The project took almost 5 months to accomplish,  from the first discussion about doing it to the final completion last night. Other than the track, lighting kits and of course the people, everything else was scratchbuilt. We were fortunate that one of the members works in NYC and rides the subways daily, so he studied various stations on his commute so we could get as close as possible to the real thing. We had a lot of fun doing it.

Bluelinec4....this is the St.James Model Rail Road Club located in St. James Long Island.

Thanks again to everyone for your kind replies.
