SIRT has some of the best winter scenes I have seen and Iam sure he will catch this thread and post, you get cold just looking at his scenes.
Over at the garden railroad sites you can find some examples and videos of model trains running in this stuff or like the prototype..operations have halted.

No, can't say that that would interest me, living in the Deep South. Why, it's
difficult to even imagine snow and ice of such magnitude.
And no, even though we do have our hurricanes, I wouldn't model them either.
