I have a Premier Protosound engine I would like to upgrade to Protosound 2. Is there any way to tell if the shell from 20-2254 will fit 20-2186? The Proto 2 engine is for sale at a price that I might consider if the swap would work.

From looking at the parts diagrams. It will fit. It is from the same mold. you might have to do is swap in the light brackets from the newer primer shell.

I've been thinking of this since they got RS27 PS3 ones coming out. I would like to update a my GB&W RS27 to PS2 or 3. The shell looks identical to what is shown.
I have done that exact conversion with a Premier PS1 GBW body and a Rail King PS2 chassis. The older GBW shell dropped right in place, but there were some lights on the old Premier version that the Rail King chassis did not have. I could have gotten the parts from MTH to put the correct bulbs in the number boards, etc. and hook them up, but I elected to do without whatever lights the RK version didn't have.
