Does anyone have experience using the Tichy Train Group O scale decals? I've noticed they have several sets of prototype cars I'm interested in, and wonder about the quality and fidelity. Having never used them
Thanks.

I have used their raised details. They were great.
Now if I could just remember what happened to them? I'd use the rest of them.
BTW, Seal them to the model right away so they don't get damaged.
I think I read someplace that Tichy bought the decal line from Microscale. Does anyone know any more about that? I have used microscale decals. They are nice and very thin. You need to be a little gentle with them but they look great on the equipment.
They don't appear to be Microscale. Lettering is slightly textured.
Microscales support for "O" is pathetic as they have been around forever. It would have been great for us if they covered all roads & schemes as Champ did. Too late now, the peak along with DYI guys are much fewer these days.
I picked up a boatload of old Atlas O 6222 (Austrian) C&NW stock cars dirt cheap. All the same #4992. Nice details. I'm going to pull the original cheapie plastic 3R trucks and add scale wheel trucks.
Tichy Train group was super helpful and responsive when I needed to order multiple 6-car decal sets with different numbers.
Now I just need to find the time to renumber all of them.
Just to bring this up again - I’d like to get some thoughts on Tichy decals - easy to apply ? blend in with clear coat? etc.
Thanks in advance

Chris I have a few sets of O Tichy decals if you wanted to look at them next time we are at the club at the same time, or if I remember, I’ll leave one there. I haven’t used any yet, as I haven’t built the cars they will be for.
I’ve used them a couple times and made one mistake with them. I seal a set after applying to the car and they came loose from the film the car look like it was a bowel of alphabet soup. I called them and told him what happened and what I can do to prevent this again he said we’re still new at this you probably got a bad set and sent me a new set without me asking. I think there one of the best. Here’s a few I’ve done do far
I have used a couple sets. They work as well if not better than Microscale.

I agree with the previous comments, good selection of road names, car type and pricing, no issues applying these decals.
Went to their website - found only six decal sets, all refrigerator cars. Any suggestions?
I am looking for a brown lettering Canadian National set with green maple leaf.
Bob2, they have more decals but their search setup is a little confusing (I made the same error yesterday). You need to go one more level down in the search to see all the decals. After clicking on "decals", directly below the "decals" you just clicked on the following will appear; "by car type", "by private owner", "by railroad" and "data sets". If you click on one of those, many more results will show up.
Their SAL decal artwork came from Jerry Glow, he did them for me several years ago when I was doing a number of PS1 boxcars. I have some Tichy decals but can't recall if I've used any of them yet.
Yes, their website is a little different when it comes to finding stuff. If I can figure it out, anyone can.
I have used their decals and they are great. They are also one of the few dealers in the hobby that still produce a 50+ page catalog of decals. They also have a parts catalog for O scale...
Thanks! Will try again.
