tiu & remote software

I have an original G Tiu with 2 remotes loaded with 4.10. I am looking to get a new REV L TIU and will probably come with 4.20 on it.  MY computer does not have any loader program on it yet.

my computer is a 64 bit windows 7. so all i need to do is download the 64bit dcs loader then I will beable to download 4.20 into the remotes.

That's correct. Be sure that you:

• Load the copy of the Loader Program for 64 bit Windows that also has the .NET software included
• Make sure that you have all of the necessary cables, including a USB to Serial Cable if your PC lacks as serial port
• If you intend to use a USB to Serial adapter cable, be sure to load its Windows 7 driver software first.

Can my saved remote file from version 4.10 with all the accessories, switches and engines Be put back on the remote with the new 4.20 version.

Hi boxcar,

If you are updating the remote from 4.10 to 4.20 you won't have to do anything.  The upgrade to 4.20 from 4.10 doesn't require a remote reset and won't otherwise alter the existing data.

If you get a second remote with the Rev. L TIU you will be able copy the date from one to the other.
