In trying to update my early version MTH TIU to 6.01 I inadvertently opened the TIU firmware file in Adobe Acrobat, which converted the file to a PDF. I can’t seem to change it back to the proper file type. I even deleted the files and rebooted the computer. It now wants to always open it as a PDF. Any advice short of working from another computer? Thanks!

Redownload file from mth website.
Maybe shut down the Adobe? Seems like it's automatically taking over the file.
I'm not the best here on this type of problem. I just plug away until I get the desired results.

install 2 files tiu n remote to your desktop so you can fin them!
Apparent success. The remote and TIU are now identified on the remote properly as 6.10. HOWEVER, as I try to add MTH engines I have had no success. The remote address is Zero (0), and the TIU is labeled as ONE (1). Must either or both of these devices need to be changed?
Shouldn't have to change the remote, as long as it's finding the TIU, life is good.
I'd try the TIU update again. I've seen a couple of instances, one right here a couple days ago, where after the upgrade it didn't work. He updated it again, and all was well.
I'd also consider downloading the file again and making sure there are no errors in the download. Do the retry with a fresh file.

John, I simply reinstalled the TIU file and did not do the re-download. I thought I'd let you know should you come across this issue again on the Forum. Best to you.
