I have an "L" version TIU.  I accidentally hock up input voltage to output on fixed 2.  Then I was unable to get loco to respond.  Remote would not recognize locos even to add.  I am still getting 18v thru TIU.  Don't think it is a fuse but will open it up to see which is the only thing I feel comfortable with in the TIU.  Does anyone have a clue as to what is going on?  There must be a component that forwards the signal to the track. I don't think it is fuse because I have blown one of them and I couldn't get any current thru the TIU.  Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks Art

What GGG said. You need F1 or Aux power for the TIU Circuitry to be functional.

BTW, if you look through the top of the TIU, you should see a lit red LED. No light =no power. And the number of times it flashes when you power on tells you the address number of the TIU. Any number between 1 and 5 inclusive is normal.
