I have been using TMCC for many years. I have always had my command base on the layout table at one end. My layout is a donut shape operated from inside the donut hole within a range of 6 to 20 feet from the base. I now have a Legacy base as well, and plan to combine the 2 to control the layout. I am wondering if communication would be improved by locating the bases nearer the center of the layout and whether increasing or decreasing the height of the bases relative to the normal horizontal, table level, orientation of the CAB in use by the operator.
