I recently purchased a Williams GP9 that had been converted to TMCC by an unknown person. I have a Legacy base hooked up to my DCS and solely use the DCS remote. The engine added into the remote with no issue. The sound works, the electrocouplers work front and rear, the horn and whistle work. The lights change direction when I press the Direction button. When I turn up the speed the engine sounds speed up, but it doesn't move.

BUT - the only way to get it to move is using the Boost button. I have a number of factory installed TMCC engines and don't have this issue with any of them. This is the only engine I own that is a conversion.

Anyone have any thoughts as to why this would be?

Thanks,

Matt

DO a reset of the R2lC.  Code 8 for diesel should work.  Do this just with Legacy/TMCC control.  If that does not resolve it swap in another R2lC.  Type of upgrade could matter.  Some folks upgrade with modular lionel stuff, others use ERR.  I have seen this in lionel engines and a R2lC swap fixed it.  If not that might be a motor driver board issue, but again it matters what was used to do the upgrade.  G
