Has anyone converted a Flyonel PA diesel to TMCC? I have a Northern Pacific (1992) Alco I'd like to run on Legacy.

Carl Tuveson has, take a look at his website, Tuveson.com. Also take a look at Goldinhands.com. Both have done TMCC/Railsounds installations and upgrades for me. If you want to do it yourself ERR may be able to give you the parts list for the conversion.
RETIRED BAND GUY, I have done a number of the Flyonel PA's. I have Legacy Cab 1L and these work fine using the Cruise Lite from Electric Rail Road, I also have the Railsounds B Units that were made available for these sets and have installed the ERR sound converter in these to make the horn and bell operable in the TMCC mode with the engine ID number. This is a pretty simple install, I believe the next issue of the NASG Dispatch will have an article on the conversion of the Railsounds unit. If you have any questions feel free to contact me.

Thanks Ray. I'm not sure I want to attempt this...there's a LOT of wires going to the e-unit in my PA, but it looks to me (after looking at EER's manual) that I need only to find the motor wires, figure out which wire is common or hot, connect the headlight, plug in the antenna, and then address it with my Cab1?

That is me also, but it is not to bad of a job. Ken at ERR is also a lot of help. I was somewhat intimidated by this when I first saw it. I am 70yrs old so I am not one who grew up with computers.

Thanks to Ed, Carl, and Ray for all your insights and advice on this. You were all very helpful.
Thanks to several forum members, I got the conversion done. It really was quite simple, but intimidating at the outset. ERR's instructions were very clear and easy to understand. I got hung up on which wires on the Alco were which power...i.e.: common/ground. Once that was clarified for me (thanks Carl), everything worked.
