I have a question regarding the kits to convert light bulbs to led offered at Hennings. I run S Scale on DCC (North Penn S gaugers) and AC at home. Is this possible or should I go DC at home?
Since DCC is really just a very chopped up AC waveform, they should work fine. They will actually work on either AC or DC, so you can do either, no effect on the lighting modules.
The lighting module has a bridge rectifier, so it'll run on AC, or either polarity of DC. It makes it fairly universal, all you need is enough voltage on the track to light the lights, for AC that's typically 10-11 volts.
