I received a Lary-AC realy from Aztrax today.   Wired it up to the SWITCH port on the AIU and nothing.  There is power to the + and - on the tortoise and reversing the plug on it will get the switch to move in either direction.  I followed this diagram perfectly. Double checked all wiring.  What am I missing here?

I have all the tortoise motors currently wired to the accessory ports with diodes but trying to free up some space.

The diagram is correct have a few of these under the layout. double check you have the "-" going into the AIU and not the "+"

Ok got it situated.  Had a 2 wires doubled up and one was being pinched on the insulation, not the wire strands.

If I want to use 1 power supply for all the tortoises would I just jumper the + wire to the +KC terminal of each relay?

Thanks for the help

Right.  The reality is your AIU and Power supply may be located a good distance from the actual switches on your layout.  Because the current (power) requirements for Tortoises are quite small you can also just jumper the +KC terminal to the +KC terminal of a nearby switch.  And jumper the "2C" terminal to the "2C" of the nearby switch.  Of course you still need to run the KA and KB wires from the AIU to each switch (and of course connect the "n" terminals on the AIU).

You lost me a little bit here.

Been busy with other stuff in the train room but ready to go back to work now that all the required relays are on hand.  The relays, AIU, and power are right next to each other as well as the 2 wires running out to the tortoises.

Basically I'm looking for the most simplistic way (less wires) to power all the latching relays up while maintaining individual control of everything.  I can read a wiring diagram easy enough and do the work, it's just understanding the train layout side of things a bit better.

So all the KC+ and N can be daisy chained?

Thanks in advance

Right.  If everything is close together then it doesn't matter...but in some layouts the AIU and DC Power are a relatively long distance from the Tortoises.  In such cases you can judiciously choose to pick off or daisy-chain the +KC and 2C connections from a nearby Tortoise relay rather than running long wires back to the other side.  An albeit crude cut-paste of your original:

Ok I believe I got it.  Thank you so much.  Such a relief for the help provided and making it easy to understand so I can get in there this week and move forward with track and wiring.
