ok I saw a lionel video that said I could get a power wire for my Number 2 cw-80 that would end in a barrel jack connector to power the power block. I cannot find this wire anyway. I know ... I should be running an accessory bus but I don’t want to right now ... HELP

Thank you for your reply sir!! Is hat a round barrel end connector or square? If it a round connector YES that is what I am looking for
Sorry it's square. I didn't find any round ones on the Lionel site. Ebay has all kinds of barrel jack pigtails.
Thanks anyway sir!
Lionel only has the power supply with the barrel connector on the 6-81603 (4 amp wall pack). One would need to measure the barrel connector and then get one to make your own.
My LionChief Thomas set box is buried. I have never used the DC wall pack. If you get stuck, I'll dig it out and measure the connector.
Is the bottom of the block a screwed on panel? Perhaps you could get to the terminals and connect there.
email forum member Mikado and ask about a size or option.
There is an optional power supply for the Lionel Plug-N-Play lock-on. This power supply does have a barrel jack connector. It is part #6-81603.
Can I use that optional power supply (lion Chief) on PnP accessories while powering my track with the regular terminal or bus with a cw-80?
Thanks so much everyone what a great forum!
Yes, that is a solution.
You can use any of the LionChief wall packs to power the accessory block. They will have the correct barrel jack.
Then, use the CW-80 for the track power with the regular terminal or any track.
The optional power pack has more amperage to permit adding track and accessories when one purchases the LionChief sets.
Don't forget to switch the accessory block to the auxiliary power position!
Thanks Moonman!! I am running regular traditional O Lionel but now have my answer! And I wont forget to hit the toggle switch!!
