I have an MTH ZW4000 transformer working perfectly. When completed my track layout using Lionel fastrack. All worked fine. Then changed out 4 manual switch tracks to remote switches. Now the z4000 starts and gets up to only 5 volts for maybe 10 seconds or less and dies down to zero. I checked all the track connections and they are fine. Wondering if when i wired in the remote switches they caused some Short or power drain? I am stumped. Attachment is layout - only the lower track with the switches

In what way are the track switches "wired in"?
Are you powering them from track power (leaving the little shunt-bar in place) or accessory power wired to the "aux in" terminal on the underside of the switch?

You're going to have to describe, maybe w/ photos, as to what exactly this means, how you went about the wiring.

Disconnect, or replace one switch at a time, with the manual switches that worked.
Wired using track power
Thanks. Will try switching out one at a time and see if switch is bad?
In that case there isn't really any wiring to do?
