I have a set of PS 2 locomotives that were originally both powered but connected through the cable in the B unit. I had the trailing A unit upgraded to a stand alone unit and I run them as a leading and trailing set that work great except that the trailing A does not respond to volume controls, it is obnoxiously loud and the switches on the bottom seem to have no effect. Am I missing something? How do I lower the volume on the trailing A? The leading A responds to volume control with the remote, but the trailing unit does not. HELP!

does it have a volume pot and is it connected? Do you use DCS? It should respond to DCS volume control. G
Yes it has two pots that were added in the speaker cover and the wire run up through the chassis and are plugged into the board. Yes, I am using DCS but it does not respond, I am trying to control the sound volume while the paired locos are on the track and it seems that only the leading unit responds to volume changes. Do I have to maybe do each engine separately before I pair them? For what it is worth the person that I bought them from said that you (GGG) did the upgrade so I am confident that it was done correctly
I would separate the engines from MU/lashup, and test it separately. If sounds all work it eliminates a hardware failure. At that point I would assume it was silenced or it is a lashup issue. G
Thanks, I did separate them and it functions as it should so I am sure it is a lash up issue. I got out the DCS companion book and will try to follow those instructions and see what happens. Thanks for your thoughts.
Resolution, I was not using the FVS button after making changes to the settings so they never took effect.
