I bought this building for the street lamp & then found some elseware so I decided to use it on the layout.

Very nice addition, Spence.
Looks great, Spence!
Very nice structure, however if it will be used for "Train Orders", it will need a tall "Train Order Board/signal" located at track-side. The "Train Order Board" lets any oncoming train know that they have to pick up orders on the fly (yellow indication), or stop and actually sign for the orders (red indication).

It's hard to tell from the angle, but I think that white post roughly in the middle of the roof may be approximating the type of signal you are referring to.
It's been a while, but I think there is motion on that signal to coincide with the man coming out of the building when operating. (I think it it rotates an "L" shape at the top, maybe one leg is green and the other is yellow - like I said it's been a while, and hard to tell from the angle of Spence's pictures)

Very nice Spence!!

Very nice building. I think you need to turn the building 90 degrees clockwise so the man can reach up and hand the orders to the engineer at trackside.
Can we have a little more info: who made it and when.
Please.
evidently lionel made it because it says lionelvile.

Spence - It's a really cool building, but I'm worried about the guy that comes out of the shed with the train orders. I'm afraid he will throw his back out of place trying to reach far enough to get it to the train people. Do you have any great 1:48 chiropractors on your layout?

Looks great Spence
Thanks,
Alex
I used to do that stuff in real life. I still remember the time the Operator I was posting up under asked me "are you ready to hand up those orders yourself?" As TV-77 was bearing down on me at about 50 with my arms stretched out holding the fork skyward it was one of the few times in my life I asked myself "what in the h#ll am I doing??????" It was quite a thrilling experience to be able to hand up orders to moving trains.
