Thanks, Jan - the website says that they are on vacation for two weeks, but who knows when that was published. There was also this blurb from google that says the store is "closed". I called their number and the message says it's full - hence my question.

I might stop in at Trains on Tracks in Milford, NH, which is a little bit south and west of Manchester.

Hi, Mike - living just a little north of Boston, C RO is only 15 minutes away and my "home" LHS !!  I've done curbside with them many times this past year, but they are still closed to the public, afaik. I also frequent Northeast Trains in Peabody, as well (that's "Pee'-ba-dee" to all you foreigners).

I have to take some people to a wedding shower in the Manchester, NH area next week and will have a couple hours to kill up there and thought I might spend it in a local train store no more than a few miles/minutes away and both Boston and Albany and Trains on Tracks both seem to fit the bill.

Thanks

Richie, I lived in Hollis, NH until 2015.  Have fun in NH.  Of course, at least 6.25% discount.

Frank - Northeast is a large "throwback" brick and mortar store in a building in downtown Peabody that was probably built around the turn of the century (the previous one).

They are well stocked with O and HO products, have a good sized test track and Don is a great guy to work with. They do a fair internet business, as well, from what I understand. Their track cleaning car is one of the best around. If you saw the thread for Berwyn's becoming a Forum sponsor, it reminds me of that kind of store. They also have a good-sized plastic model section with paints, kits and supplies.

Mike - I was wondering how someone from the Florida panhandle knew so much about NE !

Ed - Not sure, but I think I may have met Peter at a show. Nashua is a little too far away to get to and back from Manchester in the short time window I have. I may take trip up there later this summer if they are open.
