I am still using it on Windows XP.  Unsure about the 16 bit or 32 bit.

Hard to say as Windows XP ran 32-bit back then, but some legacy Windows programs would run. It couldn't use 16-bit drivers, though. Odds are one of the application extensions "DLL files" isn't compatible with Windows 7/64 even in 32-bit mode. You might want to see if an upgrade is available.

Please let us know if you get an answer. I used it in the past but it did not work with the computer I bought 3-4 years ago.

Did you try running it in compatibility mode?  You should be able to get most software from Win 95 to run doing so.

I still have it on my Win 7 machine but have to  run it on win XP Pro in virtual mode.   It is 5.0 edition of Train Tracker.   I had Train Minder but it never really worked correctly and then I lost the hard drive with all the data.  I did not want to go and add all of my collections back into Train Tracker  ( I had 3 collections on the computer)   My backup failed as it was corrupted.    

I was glad i kept the 1200 page print out from Train Tracker 5.0 in my desk and had to add 2 years of data to Train Tracker 5.0 as my last good back up of that program was 2 years old.   It took considerable time to retype all the data for the 3 collections back into Train Tracker 5.0 from Bang Zoom.   Really wish Train Minder worked correctly on my computer.   

Folks make sure you back up your data on a regular basis as computers do fail!      

I can not run it on Windows Vista.

XP is the latest version of Windows it is designed to run.

Put the disk in the drive, then click Start and type "Program Compatibility Troubleshooter" in the search box.

Follow the prompts, and try to install it that way.

LOL! I'm not sure that anyone can run ANYTHING on Windoze Vista! 

That version was not one of Microsoft's better ideas.

I have been using TRAINTRACKER for years with Windows 7 Professional. I recently upgraded to Windows 10 and TRAINTRACKER still works as well. It is a pretty good way to Inventory all your "STUFF"!!
