A friend of mine and I were talking about using his 0900 transformer. Apparently it is a DC transformer. I did not know Lionel did that. It looks like the old 1044, but wired differently. This led me to; did Lionel offer cheap sets that ran on DC? And, are our newer engines with can motors actually running on DC, and the circuitry is converting from our AC three rail to DC for the motors. This will be an education for me. Thanks guys for the explanations.
