I just experienced the strangest thing with my Z-4000. It's been running great until the left light started blinking red. I checked for any derailments and found none. I managed to get the engine on that track moving until it gets to a particular switch then I loose power. I have two loops on the Z. The other one will run till I push the left throttle up and then it all shuts down. The strange thing is that when I  get the power up on the track that is experiencing the problem and I push the horn/whistle and bell button the train on the other track responds. I'm not sure why this is. If anyone has any ideas or solutions I would be much appreciative. Thanks.

i would disconnect the transformer from your layout and check each throttle separately on two different tracks so there is total isolation from your other tracks and check each throttle . That will prove there is no issue with your transformer!! I would do that first!! then check your layout one track and one throttle at a time ok. let us know what you find out!
